Carefully assembled to a very high standard by an enthusiast builder, this exceptional example was created with a focus on originality, drivability and attention to detail throughout.

The vehicle successfully passed its IVA inspection in February 2026 and was first registered in April 2026 on age-related 1972 registration plates. An application for Historic Vehicle taxation class has been submitted.

Finished in stunning Gloss Black with a beautifully trimmed Bolero Tan leather interior, this Speedster perfectly captures the spirit and appearance of the iconic original whilst retaining the simplicity, reliability and ease of ownership associated with the air-cooled Volkswagen platform.

The 1641cc air-cooled Volkswagen Type 1 engine has been comprehensively rebuilt and fitted with twin Weber carburettors, producing a responsive and engaging driving experience. The gearbox has also been professionally refurbished, ensuring smooth operation and dependable performance.

Having covered less than 150 miles since completion, the vehicle has been used exclusively for testing, setup and calibration purposes and presents in exceptional condition throughout.
